Inquiry About Project, Internship, Volunteer Opportunities in Forestry and Biodiversity Conservation
My name is Aya Hmidi, and I am reaching out to explore potential opportunities to contribute to projects related to forestry, biodiversity conservation, and sustainable ecosystem management.
I hold an engineering degree in Forestry and Land Use Planning (2023) from the National Agronomic Institute of Tunisia, in partnership with the Sylvo-Pastoral Institute of Tabarka. My academic and research background has provided me with strong expertise in silviculture, dendrometry, and geospatial technologies, particularly in remote sensing applications for forest monitoring. My final engineering project, « Automation of Forest Stand Mapping Using Multispectral Data and Supervised Classification (Machine Learning), » was awarded honors and strengthened my skills in GIS, machine learning, and environmental data analysis.
Beyond my academic work, I actively engage in environmental initiatives. In 2024, I participated in the ICCC (Innovation Champion for Climate Change) Project, supported by UNICEF, where I developed an initiative focused on educational forests to promote environmental awareness through interactive games. This experience enhanced my project management and communication skills, reinforcing my commitment to conservation efforts.
I am eager to apply my knowledge and skills in a practical setting and contribute to meaningful research or conservation projects. If there are any internship, volunteer, or research opportunities within your institution or network, I would be grateful for the chance to collaborate. I have attached my CV for your reference and would welcome the opportunity to discuss how I can support ongoing projects.
Thank you for your time and consideration. I look forward to hearing from you.
Best regards,
Aya Hmidi
